It's About To Hit The Fan...

It's been a long week even with having Monday as my non-Laboring Day.  With the start of small groups soon and the production of our small group videos looming next week...I'm feeling it.

Sunday I am speaking at LFA.  You need to be there, not because I have a great message or because I'm so great...but because God is going to mess us up.  That's right, He's going to get into our life's and shake things up.

In honor of the DNC & RNC and the great ability of Palin and Obama to deliver a speech, I tried to install a teleprompter for my message on Sunday.  All I ended up with was a projector shining in my face.  Now all I see is stars...

I have always said that I think messages should be around 20 minutes.  Maxwell says if you speak more than 30 minutes you are repeating yourself or you don't know what your talking about.  I got about 15 minutes so far.  It will turn into 25 minutes when I get some quiet time today to finish it.

Tomorrow night I have a great opportunity to play with some great musicians for a wedding reception.  We will be playing some top 40 love tunes including some Sinatra.  It pushes me out of my comfort zone, and makes me practice...I mean, more than I already do practice.

If you want me to, I can start chanting "U S A, U S A!" That will give you the same atmosphere. I am sure that I could also get Brandon to dress up as a protester or something. I look forward to hearing you speak, you always do well.

Are you sure you aren't related to Billy Graham?? To be able to speak like you did today there must be some preachin in your genetic pool :) No, seriously man, Great job! It was real and it was you and you conveyed your thoughts well! Don't "quit" volunteering to preach when given the chance. Also, thanks for the sunday school commercial. And Amy, my my my, can she sing! I love listening to her and thank her for singing my favorite song. It was a blessing :)
