WOW! I suppose most people have lived in some form of lie or denial at some point in their life. I think this blog I found says a lot of good things. I find it hard to believe that maybe the porn excuse wasn't made up to lessen the blow or to give some sort of reasoning behind his actions. Either way he definately still needs prayer as we all do.

If the press was allowed to analyze my life with a microscope, I would have to move to a mud hut in the middle of the Congo. "As far as the East is from the West" is a pretty powerful saying, and it came from God and not man. I think it is impossible for me to forget totally what has come into my life, but that doesn't release me from the obligation to forgive.
While I have not battled the particular demons that this man did, the demons have been there nonetheless. I think this drives home the idea of connection and relationship even more. My relationship with my wife is far from perfect, but there is no way that I would be able to hide this kind of thing from her. I can only think that this man needs to invest more of himself into the relationships around him.
Accountability, acceptance, forgiveness, healing. These are all things that are mostly impossible for us to achieve on our own, but these are also things that I have been blessed to experience FREELY in groups of intimate connection.
Call me crazy, but I like the guy. Something about being broken (or caught in sin), and yet stepping up to the mic and confessing, makes me yearn for great transparency in my own life.
I pray we all "get caught" for the phony stuff in our lives and become broken before God and man.
Guglielmucci's next song (which probably won't be released globally) will be one of the sweetest songs of God's redemption ever written.
I woulc venture out to guess that there are more people in ministry that are living a life of lies. What I like about this story is how God still used him in a powerful way even though his story was a lie. Unfourtantly for this guy, we live in a socitey where most people wont forgive him. I am willing to forgive this guy because he is no different than any of us. Just like all of us he is tempted everyday . He just got caught up in all his problems. I believe God still has great things in store for his life. I just pray that he gets all the help he needs.
