Jason Upton is the kind of worship leader that is difficult to appreciate unless you see him live. Don't get me wrong, his records are incredible, but to see him live is quite an experience. His is in Tyler tonight and tomorrow. The last time I saw him live was in Plano, TX. The best sound system I have ever heard at a church, and I've heard a lot of them. This guy is the real deal. I know so many worship guys that are so concerned about their "careers" or overwhelmed with making records that they seem to loose sight of their purpose. Upton has not lost sight of his purpose even though he has accomplished all of that. Impressive.
A long time ago Amy and I went to a conference in Kountze Tx down close to my sis Lori in Beaumont. Lindell Cooley was there. That was the first time I heard Revelation Song. He killed it. I know many of you enjoy the original version from Kari Jobe but until you hear Lindell's version you don't fully know the potential of that song. Ok now that I have said all of that...Lindell prayed over me and one key thing he said over and over is to be clean of distractions. I think the life of Jason Upton is what Lindell was praying over me. Follow the heart of God and be rid of distractions.

Thanks for the shout out. Can't wait to hear how the night went with Jason Upton.

I saw Jason Upton this past Sunday night in Dallas. I then got to go eat with he and his band, then take them to their hotel. Nice guy.
